For Thanksgiving, I was given a large bar of fine European chocolate. It was very sweet of the gift giver (pun intended), but what does one do with it?
Now believe me, I could eat my way through that bar in a few days if I I wanted to… but I shouldn’t. And shockingly enough, I didn’t! (point: Amanda)
Sunday night the boyfriend, roommate and I decided to make it a movie night. And of course, movie nights call for a dessert! In comes the chocolate bar to the rescue!
Ingredients:
– pineapple slices
– melted chocolate
I heated the chocolate chunks up in an extra large shot glass (those things come in handy for many different things haha). Once it’s nice and melted, dip the pineapple slices in and place them to cool on parchment paper.
Once all the slices are dipped, pop them in the freezer for a few minutes to get them nice and cold! I kept them in there for about 30 minutes.
Then, impress your friends with a tasty, pretty, and darn good dessert to snack on during the movie.
This was a hit for the roommate and me, since we’re suckers for any dessert put in front of us. And it was a hit for the boyfriend since I convinced him it was “healthy” because the main ingredient was a fruit :) Best of both worlds!
If only the movie were as good as the dessert…
