Happy Monday, blogger friends! Another week is upon us, which means we have a five full 8+ hour work days where we try to keep up the motivation to hit the gym daily, eat well balanced meals, not hit the snooze button too often, and try to do things we love in between it all (like read, hang out with friends, cuddle with the boyfriend, etc.)
I know there will be highs and lows this week (like every week), so I’m planning ahead! This week, if I’m feeling down (or I had an extra hard day at the office), I’ll attack my bad mood head on!
Here are the four tricks I turn to when I’m having a bad day.
1. Popcorn & Pinterest
I stumbled upon this great combination, a large bowl of Skinny Girl Popcorn (lime and salt) and Pinterest! Something crunchy is perfect for relieving my stress. And as I scroll through recipes, fashion trends, and new workouts to try the bad day melts away.
2.. Bubble Bath
Step 1: Light a candle, pour yourself a glass of wine, and grab a good book!
Step 2: Slip into a warm, bubbly bath…. ahhhhh :)
3) Happy Hour
I mean it has the word “happy” in the name, it has to turn your day around! Gather your friends, roommate, sister, or boyfriend and head to your favorite bar. It could be a total dive bar or a high end wine bar. Go wherever you feel comfortable and know you will love the beverage and ambiance.
4) Sweat
Sometimes all you really need to do is take your anger out on a great run! Nothing clears my mind more than putting down my electronics and getting out to breath some fresh air and escape the world for a bit.
Share your go-to bad day fixes below! New ideas are always welcome :)
Love this! One of my favorite things to do is to go on a walk after a tough day. Especially if I worked out that morning, it’s nice to get out of the sedentary “desk job” lifestyle, and get moving a second time that day. I usually will walk to Starbucks and reward myself with a treat – read: trenta ice tea ! Haha. Hope you have a fabulous Monday!

Yes! The “desk job” lifestyle can be exhausting sometimes. I like the idea of not only getting outside for some fresh air, but also getting a Starbucks treat (mine would be a vanilla latte)! Happy Monday to you too :)

What a great Monday post Amanda !!I totally agree with answers 1 &2 :) I make a day better with a bowl of homemade popcorn topped with a little fruity olive oil (instead of butter) salt, pepper and freshly grated Parmigino cheese. Popcorn pairs great with a glass of white wine or red depending on the mood. I wish I was a runner but I could never get my breathing down… Instead I take out my frustrations on the tennis court or the golf course. Nothing like giving a little ball a good whack!

I will have to try that popcorn trick! I’ve never heard of fruity olive oil before. I play tennis and golf too! Whacking the ball across the court or down a fairway is a great stress reliever, I totally agree :)

Nothing like a good workout, a bath, & popcorn! Sometimes I even indulge and take myself for a massage:)
