My June Birchbox arrived yesterday! Just in time for me to pack away a few of the best items into my suitcase for my weekend at the lake house.
This is my third Birchbox and I’m loving it so much more than I thought I would (I’m sorry I every questioned you, Birchbox fairies!)
There are many ways to spend $10… two Starbucks coffees, one bottle of wine, half a manicure, or a 1/3 of a SoulCycle class… So why not spend $10 on a box full of little goodies each month?
I’ve decided as long as I find ONE thing I love in each box then it’s worth it.
The Lip Lub from my first April Birchbox is carried with me everywhere I go! And although I forgot to blog about my second box (whoops!), I religiously spray my hair with Number 4™ Super Comb Prep & Protect and use my little eyeshadow sample of Coastal Scents® Revealed 3 Palette every day. I lucked out with two winners in my May box :)
Next up is June! Let the “adventure” begin:
1. Liz Earle Instant Boost™ Skin Tonic Spritzer
I sprayed this on my face right when I got it since it said that it would give you a “refreshed” feeling… then I got a headache. It may have just been bad timing and my headache may have already been in the works (or maybe it was the smell of it)… I’ll have to give it another try later to see. Jury is out on how I feel about this one right now…
2. Marcelle Mini Waterproof Eyeliner
I’ve always wanted to try colored eyeliner! I know this blue would look much better on someone with blue eyes, but I think it adds a little something to my brown eyes :) It’s a winner in my book.
3. COOLA Classic SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer for Face
This little bottle of face SPF 30 won’t last me very long, but it’s much better than putting on harsh 30 SPF sport body spray on my face. This is specifically meant for delicate skin and yes, the cucumber scent is wonderful!
4. Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator
I’ve tried this wash a few times and it’s nice, but pretty average IMHO. But, it is a perfect travel size :)
5. Catherine Malandrino Style de Paris
Getting sample perfumes is always a bit “hit or miss” (more commonly “miss”). Most people (like me) have a select number of scents they like to use. This one smells nice, but I like the ones I already have more. Sorry Catherine…
6. BONUS: Pura Vida Lace Headband
I will not lie, I think my favorite item is this bonus headband :) The bright coral color is perfect for summer and great for wearing to the beach to keep my hair under control!
Of those six items, I will be bringing the headband (obviously) and the SPF face moisturizer this weekend for the lake house :)
What did you get in your Birchbox this month? Anyone else get the bonus headband like me?
Happy Friday, blog friends!
I got the headband! Haven’t tried it yet though. You beat me to blogging about this month’s Birchbox :)

I’ve always wanted to try Birchbox, but didn’t realize it was only $10 a month- that’s a great deal! The cucumber moisturizer sounds amazing!

I never knew it was so inexpensive either :) I really recommend giving it a try. It’s worth it (so far at least)!

Ooh, you have me thinking now! I don’t usually buy things like this for myself. But maybe now I will. Or perhaps as a gift for my sister, who also never buys things like this for herself! Fun post, Amanda!

Thanks, Kristin! It’s a perfect gift for yourself, your sister, or both! There will always be something in the box that makes it worth the $10 :)
