I’ve been a horrible blogger lately… I’ve been helping my boyfriend move into his new condo in DC for the last 5 days. It’s been rough. especially since he doesn’t have internet at his place for another 3 days! I will place the blame on him :)
Slowing getting back to my normal routine, I thought I would share my July Birchbox. With only two days left in July, this post barely makes the cut!
After Birchbox lost my tracking code and told me they had no idea where it was in the world, but “not to worry, I won’t go Birchbox-less” (let’s just say I wasn’t too thrilled about that response from their customer support team) my box finally arrived 3 days ago… barely making the “July” deadline. Tisk. Tisk.
The box design is my favorite so far, which makes up for the fact that the samples inside were my least favorite… And I really do mean LEAST favorite.
Stila look at me liquid lipstick
It’s a bit bright… too bright if you ask me. This will most likely never be used.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray
This was slightly helpful. Not for the reasons the can says (dry texturizing spray… whatever that means), but only because it’s like a small hair spray. I’ll pop it in my gym bag if I ever have annoying fly-aways.
Key West Aloe Save a Tan
Since this is just a small lotion, I can’t really complain. I will use the whole thing up once when I come back in from the pool and that’s that. I give this a “meh” rating.
HAVVN Night Cream
I squeezed this on my finger and hated the smell so much I threw it straight in the trash. Fail.
Benefit They’re Real! Push-Up Liner
This sample literally didn’t work. The “liquid” inside was completely dried up and chunky. Even bigger fail than the bad smelling night cream!
I hate to be such a downer about my box this month, but it hasn’t made me think about canceling my subscription. I have confidence next month will be better! (And if it’s not, then I may rethink the $10 a month…. that could instead go towards my wine budget…)
I swear I will get back to my normal blogging schedule! Just a few more car loads to unpack and an internet connection to hook up and I will be back to it! :)
