So I did it… I gave in and bought a Fitbit. I know I won’t use all the features and will probably get sick of it after a few weeks. But for now, it has made it’s new home on my wrist.

HEALTHY LIVING | Small changes to a healthier life
We all go through times in our lives when we’re a bit healthier than others. When we are a bit more active, a bit more fit, and a bit more aware of our daily activities and how they affect our mood and overall health.
Here are three things that are directly tied to your health and a few ideas on how to trick yourself into doing them more often! Your body will thank you, I promise!
WORKOUT MOTIVATION | Pinspirations to get fit
PERSONAL PACKS | Mytrition daily vitamins for women
There are four reasons why I’m obsessed with these personal packs:
1) They’re so convenient
2) They give me more energy
3) They force me to drink more water
4) They help keep my immune system strong (especially during this horrible flu season)
GET PUMPED | Favorite workout songs of 2014
When you HAVE to workout but you really just aren’t feeling it, that’s when these great jams come in handy.
These are a few of the songs in 2014 that helped me get up, get dressed, and hit the pavement, trail, or gym when all I wanted to do was the exact opposite. So… tie up those laces and get moving!
TRENDY GYM | Equinox gym in Bethesda, MD
This may be the first time I’ve ever walked into a gym and felt underdressed and not fit enough to be there…. and I LOVED IT!
FITNESS COUPLE | 30-day squat challenge
The boyfriend and I have decided we’re getting a bit too comfortable sitting at home watching tv and drinking red wine every night. Although we both workout (he does every day… I try to every day haha), we are always looking for new ways to keep active and stay fit.
HEALTHY EATING | Healthy foods to keep in your kitchen
Just like most people, I eat healthier when I keep healthy foods in my home. We all know that you can’t just survive on fruits and veggies (we all need a little candy stash somewhere in our home, just in case), but the healthier foods you have on hand, the more likely you will be to eat them.
Here are a few go-to items to always stock your fridge and pantry with. These will help you stay on track and not let mindless snacking (one of my biggest weaknesses) or unhealthy dinner options ruin your eating pattern.
GET FIT | Motivation
I’ve been BEYOND unmotivated lately to go to the gym. The weather has officially changed to winter (this Florida girl can’t handle it), work has been a bit stressful lately, and it’s pitch black dark before I even get out of the office at night.
I needed to kickstart my motivation to work up a sweat every day! Not only is it better for my physical health, but my mental health as well… I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately, just ask the boyfriend.
SO! I have created an action plan:
FITNESS TREND | SoulCycle in DC
A few weeks ago my friend and I had the day off work. Lately, the two of us had been trying different running routes through the city; sometimes trails, other times bridges. But this particular day called for rain, so we had to come up with a new plan to work up a sweat.
We woke up early, drove into Georgetown, and tried our first SoulCycle class!
