My roommate and I were talking last night, over a glass of wine as we sat on the couch working into the late hours of the night, that sometimes you just can’t do it all.

But if you’re a perfectionist (like we are) it’s very hard to accept that fact!

On weeks where you’re trying your hardest to keep your head above water at work, it’s important to breath and take a step back. Your work issues aren’t life or death (unless you are a nurse or doctor and then ignore everything I’m about to say!).

When the going gets rough, it’s important to remember that you’re only human (I will refrain from belting out the Christina Perri song right now, although it’s amazing!).

NEW YORK | 5 things that made me happy this weekend

As I mentioned before, this last week has been exhausting as I helped the boyfriend move into his new place. A few weeks ago we planned a trip to New York to visit friends, not thinking too much about how tired we would be.

But with many (and I really do mean many) coffees to propel us through the weekend, we enjoyed a few days in the Big Apple!

Happy Monday, blogger friends! Another week is upon us, which means we have a five full 8+ hour work days where we try to keep up the motivation to hit the gym daily, eat well balanced meals, not hit the snooze button too often, and try to do things we love in between it all (like read, hang out with friends, cuddle with the boyfriend, etc.)

I know there will be highs and lows this week (like every week), so I’m planning ahead! This week, if I’m feeling down (or I had an extra hard day at the office), I’ll attack my bad mood head on!

HAVE FUN | Summer bucket list

All winter long I was curled up in bed complaining about the cold weather and daydreaming about all the fun things I would do once it finally warmed up outside. But now that it’s warm, I forget all of them!

I refuse to let this summer fly by without doing everything I’ve been dreaming about for the last 6 months. That way next winter, instead of being sad (and frozen), I can think back to all the fun things I did… and plan more for Summer 2016!
