I get a little over excited about having two days of free time that I over plan and make my to do list a bit too unrealistic.

We all lead busy lives and can easily get distracted from keeping up with the little things.
Below are eight things I try to do every day and I suggest you give them a try! These aren’t supposed to make you feel like you have a longer to-do list, instead it’s meant to make your day (and other people’s day) a bit brighter.
The older I get, the more I can feel my OCD kick in. Plus, with a boyfriend who tends to leave his things all around the apartment and has butterfingers when holding a glass of red wine (yeah, that’s not a fun story)… it can really spark a freakout (I still love him though).
Because of this, I have come up with some house “rules” for myself to follow. Many of them are actually the opposite of “rules”… They are little things I keep in mind that help me feel calm, relaxed, and prepared for anything life throws my way.
This past year has flown by and I can’t believe all that has happened. So many big life changes, many highs, a few lows, and MANY lessons learned. Now it’s time for me to reflect on it all during my one year review at work (eek!).
One question my boss asked me to come to this meeting prepared to answer is “what do I want to do with my life?”. Yeah…. that’s no small question at all.
