Ever since I moved to DC I started to paint my own nails. There were two reasons for this.
1) When you’re really picky about how your nails are done, no one can ever be as good as the lady you’ve been going to at home in Florida for the last 10 years.
2) Getting your nails done ever other weekend in DC gets expensive!
There’s one big problem with this though, I can never sit still long enough for them to dry (I’m like a two year old, I swear).
It doesn’t matter how well I plan, the moment my nails get wet with polish I think about the dishes I need to wash, the laundry I need to fold, or the bed I need to make. Or if I paint my nails right before I go to sleep (in the hopes I won’t feel the sudden urge to do things), I wake up with sheet wrinkles on them… not so cute.
That’s where my roommate came to the rescue. She told me about the top coat she swears by. It’s Sally Hansen’s “dries instantly” top coat. And my oh my, is this thing a winner!
Just a few minutes after applying the top coat I feel as if I could do anything with my nails. The top coat truly does dry instantly. I’ve tried many other brands of top coats (OPI, Essie, etc) in my attempt to get “flawless” nails and none of them come close to this one.
If you’re like me and have trouble sitting still after painting your nails, I can’t recommend this polish enough!
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
